Project Phases in Our Company

Exploration and Production

The exploration and production phase involves identifying and assessing oil and gas resources, drilling wells, and establishing production facilities. This phase can take several years and requires significant investment and technical expertise.

Drilling and Completions

The drilling and completion phase involves drilling wells to access the oil and gas reserves and completing them to enable production. This phase includes drilling design, well testing, and completion activities such as installing tubing and casing.

Construction

Oil and gas infrastructure and facilities, including processing plants, pipelines, and storage facilities, are built during construction. Vendors and contractors need to plan and coordinate extensively for this phase.

Operations and Maintenance

Resource production and the upkeep of the infrastructure and machinery necessary for production are both part of the operations and maintenance phase. This phase entails constant monitoring and maintenance to ensure productivity and safety.

Decommissioning

After they are no longer required, oil and gas-producing facilities must be removed and abandoned as part of the decommissioning process. This procedure requires extensive planning and collaboration to comply with environmental and safety laws.

Complex construction

Almaty Refinery & Petrochemical Complex

With a capacity of 310,000 b/d,

The Almaty refinery has an overall budget of $10 billion, and is part of the government’s plans to develop the Almaty area, in which a port and associated facilities are being built.

Around 55% of the crude feedstock for the refinery will be imported from the refinery, while the remaining 45% will be supplied by the sultanate.

Once the refinery is completed, it will have the capacity to process around 310,000 barrels of crude oil per day. Diesel, jet fuel, naphtha and LPG are to be its primary products. The refinery project comprises hydrocracking, hydro-treating and delayed coking units, along with sulphur recovery, hydrogen generation and merox treating units.

The project will also add significant value to Ripple Energy Resource’s operations. The added capability will allow the state-owned energy giant to take a more cost-effective and market-driven approach to selecting feedstock. It will also increase the volume of premium grade crude available for export.
